Welcome! We appreciate your interest in Moraine Valley Community College. While you browse our Web site, you will see the exceptional educational, cultural and extracurricular opportunities available—clearly among the top reasons why one-third of our district's high school students start their education here, and why more than 7,000 adults each semester enroll in classes at Moraine Valley. As the second largest community college in the state, students can choose from more than 100 degrees and certificates to transfer to a four-year college or university, or to move quickly into the job market. We rank in the top 8 percent in the nation in degrees conferred, and we're proud to say that 92 percent of our graduates are employed or continuing their education. Our students enjoy success for a multitude of reasons. They have access to outstanding faculty, staff and programs to meet their education goals, as well as numerous ways to be involved in campus life—clubs, athletics, theater, music, and more. High achievers are provided enriched educational opportunities in our Honors Program, a specially designed academic path with a challenging curriculum. The college offers noncredit courses for all interests and ages—whether it's to pursue a passion, sharpen job skills or simply learn something new. We meet the business community’s workforce needs by providing customized training that can be delivered on site or on our campus. Moraine Valley is a wonderful resource for community residents as well, with a contemporary library, modern fitness center, and a Fine and Performing Arts Center that features exciting theatrical and musical performances by top-rated and new entertainers, and inspiring art exhibits. I invite you to visit our beautiful university-like campus both online and in person, and see for yourself everything we offer you and your family. Sincerely, Dr. Vernon
