English as a second language (ESL) is offered for adults whose native language
is not English and who wish to improve their basic interpersonal communication
skills. There is no tuition for these classes. These classes are offered on a first
come, first served basis.

GED (General Educational Development)
The GED Program prepares adult students who have not completed a high school
education to review the six major areas of the GED examination, including writing skills,
social studies, science, interpreting arts/literature, mathematics, and the U.S./Illinois
Constitutions. The ABE/pre-GED Program teaches basic skills in reading, writing and
mathematics to students who have not completed their elementary or high school
education. There is no tuition for these classes. Registration and placement tests are
conducted on the first day of class.
