Tickets are now available for an added matinee performance of “Score by Score: The Best of Broadway Musicals Celebrating Rodger & Hammerstein” at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 3, at Moraine Valley’s Dorothy Menker Theater, 9000 W. College Pkwy., Palos Hills. The matinee was added after the original evening show of this gala season opener sold out so quickly.
This Kevin Moore presentation provides a unique opportunity to hear some of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s greatest works and learn about the inspirations for the music and lyrics. Six outstanding Chicago cabaret artists will perform numbers from musicals such as “Oklahoma!,” “South Pacific,” “The King and I” and “The Sound of Music.” Performers include Anne Burnell, Laura Freeman, KT McCammond, Beckie Menzie, Tom Michael, and Daryl Nitz. Kevin Moore of AM1530 WJJG will serve as emcee.
