Individuals who need to improve their basic skills for employment or to enter a certificate program at Moraine Valley Community College can enroll in a free, noncredit Adult Basic Education Vocational Program class at the college. Students earning an associate’s degree at Moraine Valley are not eligible to enroll. Classes begin June 8, but registration is open through June 15.
The four classes available are:

- English as a Second Language Computer Class: Learn computer vocabulary, how to e-mail, print, save, and more. This is not a keyboarding class or an informational class on Word Suites.
- WIN Class: Students work on the WIN computer program at their own pace to prepare for the Work Keys exam, a tool that that enables them to earn certification when they demonstrate basic math, reading, and writing skills for the workplace. Work Keys is an ACT product.
