What’s hot and what’s not? Learn about everything related to fire safety at the Fire Safety Awareness Expo on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot next to Building T at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W. College Pkwy, Palos Hills. The event is free and open to the public.
Watch a live demonstration of a car on fire and how the flames are extinguished, see a victim extricated from a vehicular accident, meet the state fire marshal and his fire dog, and get tips on all things related to home safety when using candles, smoke detectors and sprinkler systems.
