“Unraveling the Mysteries of Menopause” will be presented at Moraine Valley Community College from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, at the Fogelson Theater, Building T, on campus, 9000 W. College Pkwy., Palos Hills.
The presentation will dispel myths and misconceptions and include a comprehensive overview of the transition into menopause, related symptoms, long-term consequences, and treatment options available.
The presenter, Dr. Barbara Soltes, is an associate professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a subspeciality in Reproductive Endocrinology at Rush University Medical Center. She also is director of Women’s Health Research at Rush where she conducts numerous clinical trials in menopause. Dr. Soltes has served as a board member with The American College of Ob/Gyn, and Illinois State Advisory. She has appeared on national television and has been cited in national newspapers and magazines.
