Get ready for the snow with the Ski and Board Show from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, in the Moraine Business and Conference Center (Building M), on campus at 9000 W. College Pkwy., Palos Hills.
Learn more about how to keep your skis and boards in tip-top shape, snow riding techniques, exercises to enhance the snow-riding experience, the hottest cold-weather fashions, local and western resort ski/board trips, ski trips planned by the Moraine Valley Ski/Board Club and the show’s co-sponsors, Snowcrest Ski and Snowboard Center of Crestwood, and the Chicago Metropolitan Ski Council.
In addition, representatives from Snowcrest Ski and Snowboard Center will be demonstrating proper ski and snowboard techniques and maintenance.
Moraine Valley’s Culinary Arts program will provide a limited menu of sandwich items, snacks and beverages for purchase.
To register, call (708) 974-2110 and enroll in FT4-500-200. Admission is a donation of non-perishable food, hats, gloves, winter coats, or a new toy for Toys for Tots. All attendees will receive a voucher redeemable for either a $5 lift ticket Monday through Friday or 2-for-1 ticket on Saturday or Sunday furnished by Shanty Creek Resorts in Bellaire, Michigan.
All attendees also are eligible for raffle prizes including the Grand Prize, a five-night winter getaway in a Gold Studio and five days of skiing for two people provided by Panorama Mountain Village Resort. Second prize is provided by Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and includes two complimentary three out of four day lift tickets. Third prize is two two-day passes to Taos, and fourth prize is gift certificates from Snowcrest Ski and Snowboard Center.
