Moraine Valley Community College will offer a two-day seminar to provide an understanding of Nadcap’s NDT (AC7 114) requirements, as well as how to comply and implement the requirements as part of the continual improvement process The focus is to help companies make a smooth transition through the process to better meet customer needs. Nadcap’s NDT Practices will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., September 22 and 23, at Fogelson Theater in Building T, the Center for Contemporary Technology, on campus, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.
The seminar, led by Israel M. Vásquez, is highly recommended for quality managers, quality engineers, NDT supervisors, technicians, responsible Level 3’s and quality systems/NDT auditors—first party (internal), second party (customers) who need to gain an insight and a comprehensive understanding of changes in the aerospace industry pertaining to the most recent NDT practices.
Vásquez has more than 37 years experience in a Quality Assurance / Nondestructive Testing capacity. He is a member of ASNT, ASQ, and ASTM and has held Level III certifications from several major aerospace / defense contractors such as Lockheed Missiles & Space Company, Bell Helicopter, Allied-Signal (Honeywell) and Bettis Atomic Laboratory (Naval Nuclear Program). He has been a lead Nadcap NDT / Quality Systems Auditor (since 1992) for the Performance Review Institute (PRI) a division of The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and has conducted over 500 Quality System / NDT audits for the Nadcap Program in North America, Asia, Europe and Australia. He is an ASNT Fellow Candidate (Class of 2009).
