It may be hard to think about hitting the slopes in August, but it’s not too early to start planning for a winter trip to Telluride, Colorado, from January 4 to 10, 2010. The trip is sponsored by the Moraine Valley Community College Ski Club and is open to individuals ages 18 and over. The student and early bird cost is $1,179. Early birds must pay in full by September 1. All others pay $1,229. A $400 deposit is due by September 1 with final payment due by November 1.
The cost is based on double occupancy and includes roundtrip airfare, transportation to and from the resort, six nights at the Viking Lodge in a one bedroom/one bath condominium that is within walking distance to ski lifts, and a four-day lift ticket. The cost does not include baggage fees, equipment rental, tips, food, or beverages. Travel insurance is available for purchase and is highly recommended as refunds will not be granted. Five-day lift passes also can pre-purchased at a substantial savings that will not be available at the resort.
To sign up for the trip, send a check, payable to Moraine Valley Ski Club, to Mike Wade, 9000 W. College Pkwy., Palos Hills, IL., 60465, or call Wade at (708) 974-5594 to pay by credit card.
