Moraine Valley offers online and Web-assisted learning for college credit - 2009
8/3/2009

Moraine Valley Community College’s online and Web-assisted courses may be the answer to a higher education for those whose daily routine isn’t exactly “streamlined,” or are just plain busy. More than 100 courses are offered during the 2009 fall semester.

Online classes are taught completely over the Internet, while Web-assisted courses are taught through a combination of classroom and Web-based instruction. Both types allow for students to attend all or part of their class via the Internet with the ability to access the instructor, classmates, and course materials. Access to a Web-equipped computer is required.

Some of the online and Web-assisted classes this fall include Western Civilization I and II, Composition I and II, Intermediate Algebra, Physical Geology, General Sociology, World Religions, and Medical Terminology, among others.

A complete listing of credit and noncredit classes can be found in the fall 2009 class schedule or online at morainevalley.edu. Registration is ongoing. Tuition is $87 per credit hour plus fees and books. Students who have applied to the college can register in person by visiting the Registration Office, located on campus in the Student Services Center (Building S), 9000 W. College Pkwy. in Palos Hills; by phone at (708) 974-2110 (TTY for the hearing impaired 708-974-9556); or online at morainevalley.edu.
