Student Employees General Information
Job postings and applications are online!
Students must be enrolled in 6 credit hours for the fall and spring
semesters. Students need to be enrolled in a 3-credit-hour class to work for the
summer. Student employees and employees with work study earn $8 per hour.
- Review the open part-time, on-campus
student employee positions.
- Once you have selected one that fits you,
you can apply online.
- Be sure to type in the job number
for the position you are applying to and completely fill out the
application. A separate application must be completed for each
position that you desire.
- The completed application will be e-mailed
to the supervisor of the position and if qualified, you may receive a call
for an interview.

Student employee orientation is mandatory for those
who are first-time student employees or for those who are working as a
student employee and have never attended the orientation. You must pre-register for
a Student employee orientation in the Job Resource Center in person (S202) or by
phone at (708) 974-5737.
All sessions are in the Fogelson
Theater (T001).

Student Employees with Work Study
General Information
- Go to the Financial Aid Office (S107) to
determine if you are eligible for federal work study. Obtain work study
resource form.
- If accepted, bring your work study
resource form to the Job Resource Center (S202).
- View the
work study positions online.
- To apply online, type in the job number
and fill out the online application.
- The completed application will be e-mailed
to the supervisor of the position and if qualified, you may receive a call
for an interview.
You also may apply online to any student
employee job posting as well.

Information
The Student Employment Program runs from fall to fall of each academic year. At
the end of July, job postings are removed and the job postings for the next
academic year are posted at the beginning of August.

Hiring Recommendation Form –
Once you have selected the student, send this form to the Job Resource Center
with the application. Please have the student sign the application.
Newly Hired Student Employee Information
Form
– Print this form and give it to the student so applicants will know the next
steps of the hiring process.
Notification of Returning Student Employee Form - If you have a student employee
that has worked in the summer and will continue to work in the fall semester
please fill out this form and return to the Job Resource Center before Aug. 15.
