JRC Employer Services

1. Participate in Career Fairs—Our job fairs offer you a fast, effective method to connect with hundreds of prepared job seekers and fulfill your hiring needs. The fairs are open to students, alumni and community members.

2. List a Position—

   JRC Job and Internship Listings—List full-, part-time job and internship positions. Listings are included in the free weekly Job and Internship Report posted on campus boards, in print and online. For more information or to post a job, call (708) 974-5737 or fax the Post-A-Job Form. Commission-only positions will not be posted. CCjobnet.com— Now powered by College Central Network. Internet-based job listing service allows you to directly post your job openings and receive resumes at no charge. Connect with 12 area community colleges. You must register with JRC to obtain a password. Commission-only and third-party recruiter positions will not be posted. 3. Build an Internship—This program allows students to positively contribute to your workplace while acquiring “on-the-job” experience. If you are interested, please contact Pamela Payne at (708) 974-5737 for further information.

4. Participate in Special JRC Events—The Job Resource Center conducts various special events including Mock Interview Days, which allow students to participate in a formal mock interview with you, the expert! Your suggestions are very valuable to our participants. If you are interested in participating in future Mock Interview Days, please contact us at (708) 974-5737 or farooquit@morainevalley.edu.

5. Recruit on Campus—Reserve space in select, high-traffic locations on campus to discuss job opportunities with students. Recruiting on campus helps increase visibility of your organization. Tables are scheduled typically 2 weeks in advance to ensure maximum publicity for your visit. Please fill out a date request online!

6. Arrange a “Day in the Field”—The Day in the Field site visit provides students an excellent opportunity for career and industry exploration. Students can visit an area employer to learn about the industry, meet representatives from a variety of career/job fields, and take tours of the facility. Contact us today to learn more on how you can contribute to our students’ career development.

7. Guest Speakers—This service is offered to employers who would be interested in co-facilitating with a representative from the Job Resource Center for a workshop or presentation regarding general employment information.

8. Sign-up for the e-Newsletter—This e-newsletter connects businesses with Moraine Valley and to support the employment needs of the community. If you would be interested in adding your company’s e-mail address, please e-mail farooquit@morainevalley.edu.
