We do not have tutors scheduled for all the hours that the center is open. Download the Tutor Schedule for the tutor’s hours.

Lab Closed: The T-Building is closed on Sundays and therefore the IMS Tutoring Center is also closed on Sundays. The IMS tutoring center is also closed when the campus is closed for holidays. If a tutor cannot make their regularly scheduled time due to sickness, or personal matter, every attempt will be made to post a sign in the tutoring center. Please be aware that in the event of an occasional tutor absence this web page will not be updated. If tutors' hours permanently change, this webpage will be updated. We apologize in advance if this causes any inconvenience.

IMS Tutoring: Tutoring is free and open to any students currently enrolled in classes at Moraine Valley. Students must present a validated student photo I.D. to work in the Open Lab. Students may validate their current photo I.D., or apply for a photo I.D. if they don't already have one, at the Student Services Center, Student Street, S100. Tutors can help any students with using Student Email, Blackboard, Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) and specific assignments in CSC, IMS, MIS and OSA classes as listed below the tutor schedule. If a course is not listed, the tutors may still be able to assist you, just ask.

Printing in T703: To issue a print command from the Open Lab, students must have a pay-for-print debit card, or coins. Printing in the lab costs 10 cents per page. The pay-for-print cards can be purchased in the IMS Tutoring Center. Students can add to their print cards using one dollar bills or five dollar bills. The pay-for-print cards can be used in any of the open lab areas on campus, and the printout will be on the printed in T703.

Feel free to ask the tutors about classes other than on their lists above. If the tutor is able to help they will be happy to do so. Please remember these tutors are also students! They will make every attempt to assist students to the best of their abilities. In some cases, however, tutors may not be able to solve all students' problems or answer all students' questions, and students may need to contact their instructors for additional assistance.
