Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program--Certification

After successful completion of Moraine Valley Community College's 144-hour program, students are eligible to take the State Nurse Aide Competency examination. When a student passes the State Examination, he/she is listed in the State of Illinois' Nurse Aide Registry as a Certified Nurse Aide. After receiving certification by the State of Illinois, the student has the qualifications to seek employment in long-term care or chronic care facilities, hospitals, or home health agencies. Cost of the certification exam is $60, and is included in the course fees.
