Program Mission
The mission of the Radiologic Technology Program at Moraine Valley Community College is to provide a stimulating intellectual environment that will provide our students with guided experiences in the study and clinical practice of radiography.

We believe that learning is the interaction between the learner and his/her environment leading to changes or modifications of behavior that are relatively permanent.  We further believe it is necessary to prepare students to provide quality patient care, These beliefs will be realized through our commitment to the education of radiographers in the Moraine Valley community.

Program Goals

The Radiologic Technology Program strives:

  1. To provide educational experiences that prepare students to enter the health care community as radiographers.
  2. To provide the health care community with individuals qualified to perform radiographic procedures in a professional and compassionate way.
  3. To contribute to the general education of its students by providing exposure to a variety of liberal arts and science courses.
  4. To promote the principles of respect for diversity among members of the community.
  5. To expose students to professional organizations in an attempt to promote a lifelong desire to achieve professional excellence.
