At the Fine
and Performing Arts Center, our volunteers are the core of our facility.
Volunteers welcome patrons to an evening performance or usher a group of school
children to their seats, and a host of other activities. As a member of our
volunteer ushers, you will join a group of dedicated and friendly staff and have
a chance to be directly involved with the arts. We annually have over 75
volunteer ushers, and we welcome you to become part of our unique family.
Requirements
The essential requirements to become a Volunteer is an enthusiasm for the
performing arts coupled with a willingness to serve all patrons with care and
respect. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
Volunteers
are needed for ushering daytime school children performances, matinee or evening
performances, Moraine Valley related events (including graduations), and our
annual fund-raiser Starry Starry Night. Ushering positions are rotated on a
regular basis and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis to provide all
volunteers the same opportunities and experiences.

Orientation
and training sessions are required and are held at the Fine and Performing Arts
