Theater for Young Audience's mission is to
produce quality live theater that entertains and educates young audiences. With an obligation to build tomorrow's audiences and provide work opportunities
for professional Illinois artists, TYA's goal is to produce first-rate
productions with affordable prices and provide convenience and ease for area
educators to bring their students to our theater. All of our productions
are 50-90 minutes in length, with original scripts, and come with
complimentary study guides to enhance classroom learning and enjoyment at the
theater. Every show is presented in the 600-seat Dorothy Menker Theater
proscenium stage, located on the campus of Moraine Valley. Live theater
experience is important for all young audiences, and TYA continues to build
partnerships with classroom teachers and community leaders to shape programming
for TYA.
