The Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery is
a meeting ground for students of Moraine Valley, the local
community, and the contemporary art world. Our mission is to
present significant works, through exhibitions and
programming, by local, national, and international artists.
Exhibits are available for viewing Monday-Friday 8:30
a.m.-4:30 p.m. and during most Fine and Performing Arts
Center performances.

MVCC Juried Student Art Exhibition
The annual selected exhibition of the best artwork showing the breadth and depth of emerging art students
from Moraine Valley Community College, features drawing, painting, printmaking, design, sculpture, ceramics,
and jewelry.

Your chance to show off your artistic ability in the art gallery!
A Call for Entries will be made in April 2012. At that
time, you may pick up a brochure from the Fine and Performing Arts Center or go online to find out how to
enter the 2012 showcase of local artistic talent.
This year’s juror is Cortney Lederer.
Cortney Lederer is the Director of Exhibitions and Community Initiatives at the Chicago Artists' Coalition.
She received a dual Masters degree in Arts Administration and Policy and Modern Art History, Theory and Criticism from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago;
her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Victoria, where she was awarded the Tenline Sales Award for Academic Achievement in Visual Arts; and her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from The George Washington University.
Before joining CAC, Ms. Lederer worked as company manager for Blair Thomas & Company, company manager at Deeply Rooted Productions and as a producer for other independent projects associated with the School of the Art Institute,
Links Hall, Spertus Museum and the Department of Cultural Affairs. Cortney serves on the board of Every House Has a Door (previously Goat Island) and the Associates Board of Links Hall. Cortney has extensive curatorial and fundraising experience and oversees CAC’s exhibitions arm with programs such as HATCH Projects, The Curatorial Program at CAC, BOLT Residency,
BOLT Mentorship Program as well as CAC’s Special Projects throughout Chicago.
