As the movement to "go green" gains global momentum, I am proud to report Moraine Valley is diligently pursuing ways to improve the college's commitment to sustainability.

While we have had practices in place for years, I am very excited about the most recent work our Green Team is doing to develop new opportunities that can do more to help us conserve energy, reduce waste, and make for a healthier work and living environment. We’re not stopping there. Our efforts will continue as we incorporate measures for our newest buildings to be more environmentally sustainable.

We are learning so much in the process, and we’re pretty excited to share this information with our community. So, plan to enroll in our workshops and classes that help businesses develop green methods, guide homeowners to make positive lifestyle changes, and teach our citizenry, in general, how to make conscious decisions that will help to sustain the earth we share. You’ll find these classes listed in the green section of the class schedule.

I am thrilled with our efforts to date and look forward to continuing and improving upon our practices that support the maintenance and health of our environment for future generations.
