How to Earn Dual Credit
How can a student earn Dual Credit?
Moraine Valley Community College and
participating high schools enter into annual dual credit agreements for
selected courses. Students enrolled in a course eligible for dual
credit can choose to receive dual credit by:
- Filling out the online admission form
as instructed by dual credit faculty
- Obtaining a parental signature,
completing, and returning the paper dual credit enrollment form to the
dual credit faculty member
- Transfer courses (i.e. COM-101,
HIS-201, etc.) require a non-refundable $44 fee (check or money order
only) that must be turned in with the enrollment form. Career and
technical education courses (i.e. AUT-112, LAN-111, etc.) are free to
dual credit students.
- Students who receive an "A" or "B" in the
course will receive college credit on a Moraine Valley transcript; all
other students will not receive college credit and no record of the
course will be on the student's Moraine Valley transcript.
