Guidelines
- Only currently enrolled part- or
full-time Moraine Valley Community College students are eligible to
participate.
- Entries must be typed, 500 words
or less, and address the topic, “How My Community College Has
Changed My Life.”
- An official entry form must
accompany each essay. Essays will be returned upon request.
- All entries must be submitted to
Moraine Valley Community College, the Office of College and
Community Relations, Building D, Room 106, by March 22, 2010.
- The winning entry will be
submitted to the Illinois Community College Trustees Association.
- The winning essay for Moraine
Valley will be selected on the basis of writing style, grammar and
punctuation, clarity of expression, and relevancy to the topic.
- Moraine Valley reserves the right
to not present an award based on the quality and/or quantity of
entries received.

Awards
Local Level: The winner of the
Moraine Valley contest will win one semester of free tuition (12 credit
hours).
State Level: The ICCTA will
award the state winner the following:
- a $500 cash stipend for
educational expenses during the fall 2010 semester.
- an invitation to ICCTA’s Awards
Banquet in Springfield on June 4, 2010. (ICCTA will reimburse
mileage and banquet costs).
