Clinical Nursing
Current Nursing Practice Update (RN
Refresher)
RN Refresher is an approved program by the Illinois Department of
Professional and Financial Regulation and provides 84 hours of theory and 96
hours of clinical practice that is designed for both licensed and unlicensed
RNS. This interested in moving from the doctors office into a hospital
environment would benefit from the course or RN students who did not pass their
boards. Students must produce proof of current immunizations and malpractice
insurance before the first day of class or they will be dropped without a
refund. (This course is approved for 10 AEC)
The course is geared toward Medical/Surgical
and will help prepare student waiting to take boards for both Students that have
failed boards or nurses that have had a license lapse for more than five years.
Also helpful for nurses with active licenses who are returning to the workforce
after being away or those who want to further their education in the newest
medical practices
C.N.A.T.T.T. TRAIN-THE-TRAINER
Prerequisites: To qualify for this program, each student must be a licensed,
registered nurse for at least 2 years in the State of Illinois, and possess one
year of experience in one of the following areas: extended care unit, chronic
care unit, hospice, home health agency, long-term facility, or geriatric swing
bed unit of the hospital. This 32-hour program approved by the Illinois
Department of Public Health trains registered nurses to be qualified instructors
for the CNA program at various educational facilities in the State of Illinois.
The course will include the Alzheimer's component. Course cost covers all
handouts. Full attendance is mandatory. Please see our refund policy. (Evaluator
workshop is not included and to be completed at a later date.)
