Moraine Valley understands the challenges facing health professionals in today's
health care environment. These courses and seminars are designed to educate you
and offer learning opportunities for careers, career changes and/or work
redesign. Classes are offered in medical terminology, RN refresher, central
processing technician, and
CPR.Your Partners
in Education
You can meet your CEU requirements by attending programs that are sponsored by
the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation as well as designated
credentialing boards within each subject area. Customized
On-Site Training
High-quality, cost effective, on-site training allows you to enhance your
training capacity without increasing the size of your training staff. Moraine
Valley's education and training programs can be scheduled at YOUR facility, at
times convenient for YOUR staff and YOUR organization. Or if you wish,
customized training can be conducted at Moraine Valley's Palos Hills campus. |

Entry-Level
Positions and Medical/Clerical Staff
Moraine Valley Community College offers classes to help prepare for the
medical/clerical field. Our classes are designed to help students develop the
skills they need to improve their productivity on the job or transfer to an
entry-level position in health care.
Central Processing
Technician
Our new course in Central Processing Technician is geared toward the
entry-level or career change student. Central Processing Technicians (CPT) are
responsible for instrument setup and maintenance of the operating room. They may also work
in hospitals, free standing surgical centers or in a physician or dental surgeon
office.
Refund Policy
for Health Professional Classes
It is the student’s responsibility to drop a
course by three (3) business days (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) prior to the first class
session for a full refund. Classes dropped less then three (3) business days
prior to the first class session will not receive a refund. A non-attendance
does not constitute a drop, this results in a failing grade. To officially
withdraw from a class: Call (708) 974-2110. All courses are pre-pay.
Students who do not attend the first class session will be dropped with no
refund. Course fees subject to change without notice. |
