Richard has been working with 3D
Studio since the original DOS version. Before moving back to Chicago in
1998, he worked as the lead animation instructor at the Art Institute in Ft.
Lauderdale. He also taught at Keiser College, Palm Beach Community College
and started the SE Florida 3D Studio Users group. In Chicago, he
has taught classes at the International Academy of Merchandising & Design,
Consulting For Architects, Westwood College and Moraine Valley Community College. Plans are in
the works to start the Chicago Loop Group again. He produces numerous
forensic and game animations through his company, VirtualONE, Inc. As a
freelance animator, he has animated everything from environmental impact
simulations to fiber optic transmission of data. Each animation was unique
with its one set of problems to solve. As an instructor, he likes to
emphasize the problem-solving approach. Currently he is involved with an NSF Grant to
teach high school instructors Design Visualization via the web.
