	Mechanical Design and Drafting/CAD Department--Degrees/Certificates

The college offers one Associate in Applied Science degree program related to mechanical engineering design.

• Mechanical Design and Drafting/CAD A.A.S.

Five certificates are offered for those individuals seeking instruction and experience in mechanical engineering design.

• 3D CAD—This program prepares students for a career as a three-dimensional CAD drafter, designer or detailer.

• Architectural CAD—This program prepares students for a career in the architecture and civil engineering fields as a CAD specialist. Development of two- and three-dimensional animated computer images are created, edited and produced.

• CAD Programming/Management—This program prepares students for a career as a CAD programmer and a CAD network manager.

• Computer Animation—This program prepares students for a career in the computer animation, computer graphics and digital imaging fields. Two- and three-dimensional animated computer images are created, edited and produced.

• Mechanical Design CAD—Only open to students who have 30 hours in a drafting program, or two years of industrial drafting or engineering experience, or instructor's consent.

• Mechanical Design and Drafting—Prepares students for entry-level positions in mechanical drafting and computer-aided design (CAD).
