mtvU looking for a VJ, show hosts
mtvU, MTV's college channel featuring programming developed specifically for and by college students, has two opportunities for college students in the Chicago area. To apply for either gig, submit a video explaining why you should be chosen. Include your name, phone number, college, and favorite artists in the email along with a great picture of yourself. The deadline to apply is Feb. 6.

One student with mega-personality and a passion for indie music will be chosen to be a correspondent for the 2012 mtvU Woodie Awards. The correspondent will report on all things music on the road at the Woodies Tour, headlined by Young The Giant, and live at the awards show in Austin in March. Send the video here!

A pair of college students will be chosen to take over the mtvU playlist and host a countdown of their favorite videos for the series "Deans List." Choose your favorite co-host, and make a video together explaining why you should be chosen for this opportunity. Send the video here!

Are you ready to graduate?
If you think you are ready to graduate, come to the Graduation/Transfer Event on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Building U Lounge and Student Street. You will meet with an academic advisor to complete a degree audit to verify you've completed your credits, complete a graduation petition form and meet with reps from four-year schools who may accept you on the spot (with an official transcript)! Some students who meet with the advisor and submit the petition could receive gift certificates to local restaurants. For more information, email Tina Carney-Simon or call 974-5753.
