As of 2014, Jim Knawa is in his 10th season at the helm of Moraine Valley's women's soccer. The 2011 squad finished with a 12-5-1 record, including 11 shutout games. From that team, four players were named to the NJCAA All-Region IV team and six were on the Illinois Skyway Collegiate All-Conference team. Since 2007, the squad boasted 43 players on either the All-Conference or All-Region teams.

Knawa has been actively involved in coaching various youth sports in several capacities since 1980, including high school teams in their off-season. He owns a local business and is a college instructor of management and marketing.

  James Kline
Assistant Coach

James Kline returned to the Cyclones in 2013 as assistant coach for the women’s team. He assisted the men’s squad in 2010 and additionally coached the local Inter FC club team for three years. Kline was goalkeeper at Perry High School in Canton, Ohio, before playing four years at Saint Xavier University. He is a teacher in Oak Park District 97.
