As of 2010, Jim Knawa is in his sixth season at the helm of Moraine Valley's women's soccer. Since 2008, his teams have compiled a 17-15-5 record. The 2009 squad boasted six players on either the Illinois Skyway Collegiate All-Conference or NJCAA All-Region IV teams. Knawa has been actively involved in coaching various youth sports in several capacities since 1980, including competitive high school teams in their off-season. He owns a local business and is a college instructor of management and marketing.
Nina Carbone started in 2010 as
the assistant coach for the women's soccer team. She has played competitive
soccer for 14 years, including two years she played at Moraine Valley and was
named to the All-Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference team twice. Carbone also
has coached recreational 14 and under girls teams. She is currently an academic
advisor at Moraine Valley. |
