The 2008-09 season is Delwyn Jones' ninth year as head coach of Moraine Valley's women’s basketball team. Jones was selected as the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference's coach of the year in back-to-back seasons in 2006-07 and 2007-08. As a four-sport athlete (football, basketball, baseball, and cross-country) at Luther South High School, Jones captained his basketball and baseball teams. He also received All-Conference honors in basketball and baseball, leading the Private School League in steals (baseball) as a junior. He is still very active in recreational sports. Jones, an assistant professor of Communications/Speech at the college, received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Western Illinois University.
Jennifer Howe played for the Cyclones during the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons. A graduate of Carl Sandburg, Howe played soccer and ran cross-country in high school. After earning an associates degree at Moraine Valley, she went on to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing from Clark College in Dubuque, Iowa, where she also played basketball.
Jeff Larson played for the Cyclones from 2002-04. A graduate of Carl Sandburg High School, he continued his playing career at North Central College in Naperville, where he earned a bachelor's degree in sports management. |
