Women's Basketball—Coaches
The 2009-10
season is Delwyn Jones' tenth year as head coach of Moraine Valley's women’s
basketball team. Jones was selected as the Illinois Skyway Collegiate
Conference's coach of the year for four seasons—2003-04, 2006-07,
2007-08, and 2008-09.
As a
four-sport athlete (football, basketball, baseball, and cross-country) at Luther
South High School, Jones captained his basketball and baseball teams. He also received
All-Conference honors in basketball and baseball, leading the Private School
League in steals (baseball) as a junior. He is still very active in recreational
sports.
Jones, an
assistant professor of Communications/Speech at the college, received his
bachelor's and master's degrees from Western Illinois University.

Jeff Larson played for the Cyclones from 2002-04.
A graduate of Carl Sandburg High School, he continued his playing
career at North Central College in Naperville, where he earned a bachelor's degree in
sports management.
