PHY-112-401 & PHY-113-401 are both Telecourses. Students will be working primarily on their own, but will meet as a class with the instructor once and/or twice (lab)weekly during the semester. Course includes thought provoking and entertaining tapes that are supplemented with a study guide and textbook. Exams will be administered in the Testing Center. To succeed in a Telecourse, a student must be self disciplined and motivated, with excellent time management skills and a willingness to work independently. Viewing Tapes: The telecourse The Mechanical Universe and Beyond consists of twenty-six, twenty-five minute programs.  Sets of videotapes/DVD's are located in the Moraine Valley Community College Library.  Tapes may also be rented from RMI Media Productions at www.rmimedia.com  or at 1-800-745-5480 for the semester.  Approximate cost is $50.00 for the set.
