Teacher Training Program 2008
In addition to attending the lectures and completing the laboratory exercises for your particular course,
you will be required to develop a plan for including the course contents in the curriculum at
your school. The plans will include completing course proposal forms and a formal written plan that describes how the course will fit into an existing or new curriculum.
You will also be required to develop and submit an instructional teaching module that includes electronic slides and laboratory exercises for one of the topics covered in the class. You will pick a topic in consultation with
your UIS instructor. This additional work will require 10-20 hours beyond
your time spent in class lectures and laboratory exercises to earn the graduate credit.
