MG5-501 Autodesk 3DS
Max Productivity
This course is designed to train individuals who are new to this technology
and want to explore the world of 3D animation.
Introduction
to 3D Animation
Prerequisite: Knowledge of Windows operating system.
This is a pre-course for the individual who wants to explore the world of 3D
animation. You will be introduced to the concepts of
creating, modifying, and animating a computer scene. A survey of professional
projects also will be explored to give you a broader perspective of techniques
and concepts.
3DS
Max Essentials
Prerequisites: A working knowledge
of personal computers using Windows NT or 95/98. Some 3D drawing or design
background and a general knowledge of 3D modeling concepts and a familiarity
with 2D and 3D drawing and modeling programs. We also recommend that all
participants have access to the software outside of class. Upon successfully
completing this course, you will understand user interface and navigation tools.
You will learn how to model, render, and animate objects.
Forensics Animation Using 3D Studio
The process involved with creating 3D
animations for litigation will be demonstrated in this class. We will discuss
the various data and information needed to create accurate graphics to be used
as demonstrative evidence. An in-class project will highlight the process
involved with the design, modeling, animation, and rendering of a real accident
case.
3D
Autodesk VIZ
Prerequisite: Knowledge of Windows
operating system and an understanding of 3D drawing.
Provides the designer with new and powerful tools to render and animate the
designs created in AutoCAD Desktops. You will add materials, change lighting and
create effects. You will learn to create still scenes and animated walk-through
that will effectively communicate your designs to your clients.
Character
Model
The purpose of this class is to provide the
student with a basic understanding required for designing, building and mapping
a 3D character. The fundamental concepts of character design will be
explored for producing hi-resolution and low-polygon count models. Students will
learn a variety of modeling techniques necessary to build and properly map
models.
Combustion
This class covers the fundamental concepts of
creating composites, paint projects, developing animations and applying visual
effects. Course topics include new multiformat project capabilities for
film and video, 64-bit image-processing, advanced film grain tools, and control
of the color Look-Up Table (LUT) management. Also covers the use of new
toolsets for higher functionality in the interactive schematic view; real-time
2-D particle system; an expanded interactive tex; and motion graphics module.
Story
Boarding
A fast-paced, hands-on course to help you develop the right tools for presenting
creative work. Learn how to organize your thoughts, develop style and presence.
Discover the art of incorporating objectives, directions and strategies. Deliver
the right goal for every design, layout, script and storyboard presented. Gain a
