English as a Second Language

Our goal in the English as a Second Language program is to provide quality English language instruction for students whose native language is not English. We want to help prepare you for further academic study, employment, professional advancement and personal enrichment. Depending on your needs, choose the program that is right for you.

Choose English as a Second Language if you
  • Have very little English language skills
  • Have low literacy in your native language
  • Want to get a job or improve your job skills
  • Want to function better in your daily life: shopping, children’s school, work
  • Cannot afford to pay for classes
  • Have little time to study

English as a Second Language

Choose Intensive English Language if you
  • Have enough basic English language skills to participate in class
  • Have graduated from high school in the U.S.A. or completed a GED or graduated from an accredited high school in another country
  • Are in the United States on a student visa
  • Are an Au Pair
  • Want to continue your education and prepare for college-level classes
  • Are willing to pay for classes
  • Prefer to isolate and work on speech, reading, writing and grammar individually
