Moraine Valley Resource and Referral Services for the Recently Unemployed

Academic Advising-Assistance with choosing the right classes, ensuring classes will transfer to the four-year college of student's choice, and exploring career options.

Adult Basic Education-GED preparation, English as a Second Language and improving basic academic skills.

Counseling and Career Development-Educational, career and human development services for students.

Financial Aid Assistance-Federal and state grants, loans, and work-study positions for certificate and degree programs.

Information Sessions for Adults-Monthly sessions to help adults considering returning to school. Learn about special programs to train low-income adults, displaced workers, or those returning to the workforce and to gain available financial aid information.

Job Search Workshops (resume, interviewing and job search techniques)-Sessions for job seekers or career changers with work experience.

Support Services for the Unemployed-Referral information for additional programs such as food pantries, housing services, childcare, transportation, and others.

WIA Grants for Dislocated Workers-Federal grant program that offers employment services and financial aid for training.
