Welcome

The Financial Aid Office provides a comprehensive financial aid program to meet the immediate and long-term needs of a diverse population of students.

The Office

  • offers quality financial aid and informational services for funding at the federal, state, institutional, and private agency levels, including grants, scholarships, work study employment, and loans to assist with the cost of college.
  • provides personalized information about application procedures, eligibility criteria and sources of aid to make students more knowledgeable about their rights and responsibilities.
  • awards financial aid in a consistent and equitable manner to all students.
  • assists students in planning their financial educational responsibilities with particular emphasis on debt management via loan counseling sessions.
  • remains current with all federal and state regulations and new programs.
  • assists students in exploring private as well as traditional sources of aid.
  • conducts ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of all our programs.

 

No Further Reduction of 2011-12 MAP Second- and Third-Term Claims
Based on analysis of first-term payment requests (claims), as well as the recently approved authority to spend $33.5 million in funds that were reserved for student financial assistance, no additional reduction will be necessary for 2011-12 second- or third-term MAP claims.

Limited Release of Suspended 2011-12 MAP Awards
Additionally, ISAC is releasing MAP grants from suspended status for students whose Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) receipt dates were March 26, 2011 through (and including) April 8, 2011. All MAP grants for eligible students with initial FAFSA receipt dates on or after April 9, 2011, remain in a suspended status.
